WELCOME to Oasis Hair and Skin Care,
the first Santa Cruz salon to be certified as a
Green Business.
Welcome to Oasis Hair and Skin Care, the first Santa Cruz salon to be awarded the green business certification. We are a full service eco–salon providing superior results paired with exceptional customer service whether it be hair, skin or nail services. Dedicated to the well–being of our clients and the planet, we provide a toxin–free environment from bamboo flooring, to low VOC wall paint, use of post consumer recycled materials, composting, contribution of all cut hair for ocean floor hair mats to clean up oil spills, as well as providing a wide selection of natural skin care and hair products.
Owners, Wendy Rae Johnson and Pamela Freitas, designed “Oasis” to provide a refuge for you where you’ll feel renewed and rejuvenated. Our stylists and practitioners are highly skilled at their craft and are passionate about your well–being and satisfaction, as well as giving back to our community.
We are confident you will be happy with your experience at Oasis—your Santa Cruz Salon. Call us today for an appointment and see why so many clients say “I love my skin, I love my nails, I love my hair” – Santa Cruz.

Giving Back to Santa Cruz & Our Community
We were the first Santa Cruz Salon to be certified by the “Monterey Bay Green Business Program” and we encourage all businesses to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. Our commitment to the environment includes partnerships with non–profits like “Matter of Trust” and “Save our Shores”. Once again we were the first Santa Cruz Salon to send our cut hair for the making of hair mats to clean up oil spills. Santa Cruz residents are now spreading the word about the hair mats to salons all around the country.
We are partnering with and supporting Bread for the Journey, a local non profit of which co–owner Wendy Rae Johnson is a board member: breadforthejourney.org.
Other organizations include “Locks of Love”, “C.A.S.A” Programs, “Walnut Avenue Women’s Center”, and “Easter Seals”, Cultural Council, and Coastal Watershed Council.
We also partner to assist you in your personal journey of well–being. Here are some of our recommendations in proactive health:
“Points of Wellness”,
“Chi Center”,
“Flower Essences”,
and “The Healthy Way Santa Cruz”.
